Registration Programme for 1st Year Students 2021/2022 Academic Year

Registration of students in their respective Schools/Centre.

Students will be required to register in Seven (7) stages in the following order: -

FINANCE 

(i) Requirements: -
a) Students to present BANKING-IN-SLIPS to Finance Desk.
b) Students are encouraged to make photocopies of their Banking-in-slips for their records.
Students with HELB Loan/Bursary to obtain invoices from Finance Desk to enable them know fees payable.
c) Students are required to pay fees directly to the university bank accounts as indicated in the student booklet and submit BANK-PAY-IN-SLIP. The University will not accept Personal Cheques, Money Orders, Postal Orders, Bankers Cheques or Cash.
d) NOTE: That students with HELB Loans WILL NOT be required to pay Direct charges of Ksh. 4000.00 (Four thousand).
ADDITIONAL EXPENSES
Students are advised to have with them at least Ksh. 18,000/= per year for Catering Services and Kshs. 9,000/= per year for books and stationery. Please note that these additional expenses are not to be paid to the University.

ADMISSIONS REGISTRATION DESK

The Registration Officer will receive and scrutinize the following documents.
a) Original Documents
i) Fees receipt/Banking slips.
ii) Original copies of KCSE result slips or certificate. Students shall surrender copies of KCSE result slips or certificates to the registration officer.
iii) Copies of Admission Letter and National Identification documents.
iv) Any other required documents e.g., Personal Details Form, Declaration, and acceptance.
The Registration Officer will then allow students to: -
i) Sign the nominal roll (University Register)
ii) Register for course in Schools and Collect school handouts, timetables, and other information handouts.
iii) Register in the: -
• Hostels and Accommodation Desk.
• Library Desk. (Library will issue schedule for their registration)
• Health Desk.
• Smart Card/Identity Card Centre.

 HOSTELS ACCOMMODATION DESK - ROOM ALLOCATION

a) The students to confirm Hostel Room allocation. Normally students will be provided accommodation upon proof of payment of tuition and accommodation.
b) Filling of non-resident forms:
Students wishing to be NON-RESIDENT are required to have completed requisite forms online before being cleared for Registration. Students found pirating in the Hostels will be subject to disciplinary action.

HEALTH UNIT DESK

a) Clinical Staff to receive Medical Forms from students.                                          
b) Provide relevant health literature.

IDENTITY CARD/SMART CARD

Students to provide Biodata for preparation of Smart Card/ID at the Conference Room, Student Centre. (See attachment from Corporate affairs & Protocol Office).

GAMES AND SPORTS DESK/DEAN OF STUDENTS OFFICE

Provide information concerning games and sports.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS DESK

New International Students are advised to register with International Student Desk where they will be provided with further information about the University.

WEDNESDAY 08/09/21
8.00 a.m. – 12.00 p.m. 

2.30 p.m. – 4.30 p.m. 


Continuation of Registration of students.


Address by the Dean of Students, Games Officers, Students’ Counselor, University Chaplain and Wardens. Students will be addressed at the ICDC Building/Alternative Programmes will be issued in other centers.
