Online Hostel Room Booking for 2026/2027 Academic Year

This is to inform all incoming first year students reporting to Main campus on Thursday 20th August 2026 that online room booking system will be available from Friday 7th August 2026 starting at 4:00 p.m. to enable you book your bedspace for the Academic year 2026/2027.
 
 
Students are advised to secure their accommodation early, as rooms are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis upon payment.
 
Key Booking Details:
Booking Start Date: Friday, 7th August 2026
 
Booking Start Time: From 4:00 PM (EAT)
 
Target Group: Incoming First-Year Undergraduate & TVET Students (ADMITTED TO MAIN CAMPUS)
 
Payment Terms: Fees paid will cover accommodation for the entire academic year (two semesters).
 
HOW TO BOOK:
Students should log in to the Student Portal using the registration number and default password (student) to complete their booking. For instructions on how to book, please click the Hostel Room Booking Guide below.

 

 
 
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Hostel booking via the  portal is strictly for students admitted to the Main Campus. Students joining Annex, Town or other satellite campuses should make their own off-campus accommodation arrangements.

Admission Letters are Ready

Moi University wishes to inform all prospective first-year students that your official admission letters are now available for download.

Government Sponsored (placed by KUCCPS)

Requirements to download the letter
Digital passport photo (yellow background), scanned copies of National ID card or Birth certificate, KCSE Results slip

1. Click the following link: https://admissions.mu.ac.ke/gsp/login-kuccps
2. Enter your KCSE index number followed by year of KCSE Exam (e.g. 123456789/2025), answer the simple math question (security stamp), and click Login.
3. ACCEPT the Admission offer.
5. Fill-in the required information (4 pages: Bio-Data, Education, Contacts, Final details).
6. Download your admission letter and other documents.
7. Upload the Required Documents and click submit to download the STUDENT DETAIL FORM and PRINT
8. After downloading the Student Details Form proceed to login to the student portal https://portal.mu.ac.ke/ using the admission number (registration number) and default password (student).
